Description (What do you see in the artwork?
Describing my painting as I have never seen it I like how I used the different colors in the trees for the leaves and you can tell this comes from the beach. I think one of the main things I struggled with was probably finding organization. But I did do background to front and the lighter colors first. Well since I’m the artist I was trying to say that it was my happy place this is located in Charleston South Carolina. Where my Beach house is located and I used the picture I had a rainbow Road which is rainbow beach houses down a street so I took a picture of a bright pink one and put it in the in the painting so it gives off a happy vibe. Criticizing the piece would probably be adding more shadow and dimensions also different colors in it. Also becoming more organized so I could get it done quicker. What is art? Art to me is an expression of feelings or meaning put into something strangely beautiful. Art is everywhere and goes everywhere. For example constantly hear my mom like I couldn’t do that but anyone can. It is just expressing your feelings or mind or personality in a sculpture, painting, pencil, etc. What is the point off the class? What did you learn from it? In this class I realized I like art a ton and wanna continue to grow and get better in art. and learned how to shade and how to overall how to make art look better and more efficiently done. Also to make it look more realistic and also so many different things you can do in art What was the warm up or sketchbook assignment that you learned the most from? I have three that I really learned from and it helped me so much. One was the one where we share on the boxes based on the light, how to draw eyes, mouth and nose, and the hand abc sign language. The first one really help me with shading and making things more realistic with the light source. The second one it really it help me how to draw mouth, noses, ears and eyes. The third one really helps me focus on shapes in my art not to draw what I’m trying to draw but the shape of it.

The portrait warm up with the eyes really helped me out a lot with everything using the chalk pastel in this.
it was a lot harder to try and copy someone’s real features instead of drawing just an mouth. Pros was the clouds and kermit himself. Some of the cons was trying to make sure to get bob ross's wig right. In my process i just worked from the back to the front also using reference images through the way and i think it turned out pretty well.
had 6 different mediums in my piece. I used the layers making a tree first out of wrapping paper. Second I put an old newspaper for the an older/aging side. Also vines to represent flow also I burned it a lil on the top to represent death. Also I put real leaves so if the some of the leaves decay it’s because there getting older to represent my theme. My last one was sticking the tape stickers of family’s/ages to show all types of family’s and ages.
My theme or word was ancestry I used a lot of bulky layers to represent the layers in ancestry. Also I put live things to represent the young and old. I portrayed like layers and age and a lifeline almost. Film examining the life of Vincent van Gogh, has finally been released after nearly six years of creative development.
